Signature Chainbag system

Jamieson Welding are the only manufacturers of the 12mm heavy duty bellie with 8mm optional high filteration durable steel top cover for a more cleaner effective fishing. Our chainbags are manufactured in Girvan, Scotland using the same traditional handmade methods passed down over 70 years with a modern technological twist of the signature laser tail bar that is unique to our product & provides a more even wear as well as weight distribution throughout the bellie. This product also features our unique shackling system that dragging rows can be added with ease.

The Beamer

Now favoured by small and large vessels

We developed the beamer dredge in 1997 as a way of reducing downtime and repairs on vessels. Since our long standing sea trials and feedback from our customers we have vastly improved the dredge over the years with additional strengthening, Chainbag quick change system for steel top covers & consumable parts with our new efficient spring unit which reduces if not eliminates side movement on the spring. High strength Hardox® paws, pivot points and striker plate wear parts. Making sure the dredge is working efficiently on the sea bed at all times. So buying direct from Jamieson Welding you are guaranteed the latest changes and developments first. Giving you the leading edge to take the seas by storm.

The Classic

Traditional A-Frame

Our Classic style dredge holds the same traditional silhouette as a typical scallop dredge but with all the modern advantages of our beamer dredge. Such as easy tool access, Uniform Hardox® parts that wear evenly preventing repairs and down time. A heavy duty towing eye & strengthening gussets.

Hardox® Tooth-bars

Available in 500 & 600 grade 10 or 12mm

Why save £1 changing an inferior toothbar when you can get more tows in? If the gear is on the deck you aren't catching anything.

As the first pioneers of the Hardox® tooth-bar. Our teeth are made in house from raw material on our highly advanced cutting equipment ensuring every tooth is the exact same size & retaining the original Hardox® wear properties. We can also offer to cut a specific length or angle of the tooth depending on the ground you are currently fishing. We do not subcontract any of our products so we offer the best possible price on the market for the equivalent high quality product.

Our standard heavy duty tooth-bar is a 2’ 6” 40 x 20mm fully welded 20mm Sq backing bar with 9 @ 12mm Hardox® 600 teeth to the bar. By using the best quality materials, high carbon steel and fully welding the tooth-bar gives you a minimum hassle sword which can be retoothed to further extend the product life.
